Welcome to Portals of Midwrathe! All things about the World of Midwrathe can be found here. The Portals of Midwrathe is a shared campaign for gamemasters and players based in a low fantasy setting. In addition, the players and gamemasters help to shape the world through active online discussion forums talking directly with the founders of the campaign.
For the gamemaster, Portals of Midwrathe is a shared campaign. The basic idea is that each gamemaster designs a village in accordance with campaign guidelines then runs scenarios there for his or her players. Once the PCs start traveling, though, they might enter areas run by other GMs, even learning news skills or gaining access to new classes. The campaign framework exists to smooth out this process and provide overarching direction. |
