Author RewardsOfficial Policy for Rewarding Module WritersModules and adventures are the means by which we interact with the game world, watch our characters grow and evolve, and derive actual enjoyment from this hobby that we play. Adventures are the social context by which all we do for the campaign is defined. In that play opportunities are rare and that as a growing campaign Midwrathe is very reliant on those individuals who work to provide adventures and modules for others to play. There is no possible way that the campaign can hope to repay the hours of thought and effort that goes into an individual module but we can at least show our thanks and our gratitude by extending what small thanks we are able. Whereas the Portals of Midwrathe campaign is not a for profit venture, no monetary recompense can be offered for modules and adventures created for the campaign. A module is defined as an adventure or scenario for more multiple player characters (more than one) that can be played more than once. Modules may be altered after successive sessions based on the actions of characters in the module. Adventures that are designed for a single-run, such as mini-modules, solo adventures, or special missions are not covered by this reward policy. Therefore for each module created, and played at
least once, module authors are authorized to grant any one of their
own player characters a reward of up to 250 experience points. If
the character to be rewarded is still first level, this experience
reward is doubled to a maximum of 500 experience points. The usual
strictures on training and advancement are still applicable. The
strictures placed on character creation by the applicable Regional
Character Creation Guideline still apply to the character. |
